Ross Backs Small Businesses

At a recent hustings event, Ross Pepper backed the Federation of Small Businesses' #ibacksmallbusiness campaign.

Ross cares passionately about creating an environment where businesses in Lincoln can thrive, and over the course of the last parliament, Liberal Democrats have introduced policies which have helped small businesses.

Corporation tax has been reduced to 20%, half a million employees have been taken out of paying NI contributions thanks to the Employer's Allowance - a £2,000 NI tax cut.

Danny Alexander has launched the most in-depth review of national business rates in a generation, to ensure the business rate system is fair, efficient and reflects the modern business environment.

The British Business Bank has been set up to help those SMEs struggling to get business finance - helping thousands of businesses secure over £3 billion of finance.

With the Lib Dems in government, we’ll ensure our tax system stays competitive, making SMEs the priority for any business tax cuts, and we’ll continue to focus on building a modern, flexible workforce - maximising the skills and talents of everyone.
