Mervyn Hobden is a retired electronics engineer who has resided in Lincoln since 1982 and has lived in the Hartsholme ward since 1995. He is a passionate pro-European and when full-time employed was responsible for supporting exports from his company to Europe for the automotive industry. He is now a member of an SE24 committee overseeing the regulation of spectrum use in Europe. He was active in the campaign against cuts, in particular library closures. He supports the re-vitalisation of British industry. Married, with two sons and a granddaughter.
