Ross Pepper's campaign postcard 4

Okay let's get this clear - the trains run from Peterborough to Lincoln via Sleaford, and from Lincoln down via Hykeham to Swinderby, but other connection across the county are poor. The train does stop at Rauceby, Heckington and Ancaster, but there isn't a station at Washingborough or Heighington.

The service from Spalding to and from Sleaford is so poorly timed that you could not work full time in one or the other and rely on the services.

If you do get the services you find you are on an outdated rattling shuttle bus on rails and the quality of the passenger experience is poor at best. On top of that, stations are unstaffed, poorly lit, badly decorated and frankly neglected.

We have great rail lines in place, but the train stock, time-tabling and service is weak, poor, even pathetic. It's time this changed and I will make improving Lincolnshire Railways a priority if I was your MP.
